Who we are
Insurance Compare (insurance-compare.9gg.app) is published by 9GG LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company with offices in Tennessee and Florida. We publish educational content on insurance: how coverage works, what typical rates look like across carriers, and how to avoid the most common pitfalls when shopping for a policy.
We're not a licensed insurance agency. We don't sell policies. We help you understand the market before you talk to a carrier.
Founder: Mark Solomon
9GG LLC was founded by Mark Solomon. His professional background spans engineering, finance, and commodities markets:
- Former registered financial advisor — held FINRA Series 7 (General Securities Representative) and Series 66 (Uniform Combined State Law) registrations.
- Former registered commodities trader in the futures markets.
- Engineer by training prior to his transition to finance.
- Author of several books on finance and decision-making, including Bitcoin Exposed — a study of cryptocurrency markets and the economic forces driving them. Most of his earlier finance titles were sold directly to readers rather than through mass-market retailers.
Mark is a long-standing proponent of insurance as a cornerstone of household financial planning, and is passionate about educating consumers to make smarter coverage decisions.

Our mission
Insurance is one of the most misunderstood line items in most households' budgets. Many people overpay because shopping insurance feels like a chore, or they underbuy because the jargon is intimidating. Our goal is to make it easier for you to (1) understand what you actually need, and (2) see which carriers are most likely to offer competitive rates for your specific situation — without having to quote 20 carriers one by one.
How we make money
9GG LLC earns commissions when readers click through to carrier partners and purchase a policy. We're transparent about this relationship:
- Affiliate compensation does not determine which carriers are included in our comparisons.
- Affiliate compensation does not influence how we rank or recommend carriers.
- You'll see an affiliate-disclosure banner at the bottom of every page that links to a carrier.
- We do not sell your contact information to multiple carriers ("lead aggregation"). When you submit a quote or survey form, we send YOU a curated email with carrier recommendations — you choose whom to contact.

What you won't find here
- Fake testimonials. We don't publish made-up reader success stories. If you see a quote, it's attributed to a real person or removed.
- Invented rate savings. When we say "save up to X%", that figure is tied to a citable source (NAIC data, carrier filings, or our own calculations with stated methodology).
- Fake "licensed agent" claims. 9GG LLC is an educational publisher, not a licensed agency in any state. Advice on this site is informational.
- Dark-pattern forms. Our quote and comparison forms collect only what we need to recommend carriers. We'll never require a full SSN, date of birth, or driver's license number before showing you anything useful.
